Sheringham Mermaid
CLIENT: No Place Like North Norfolk
Sheringham, Norfolk, United Kingdom - 2023

A custom mural on the front garden wall of a luxury holiday home in Sheringham, Norfolk. This piece was inspired by the local folk tale about a mermaid who was drawn ever closer to the village of Sheringham by the angelic voices of the church orchestra. There are a number of custom stained glass windows around Sheringham which led me to try something slightly new. By combining eye-popping colours with super defined illustrations to create a slightly 'stained glass' look in order to tell the story.
Friends Of The Earth
CLIENT: Friends Of The Earth
Norwich, United Kingdom - 2023

Friends of the Earth Norfolk commissioned me to re-paint an old banner in an effort to reduce waste as well as promoting their 'Healthy Environment Day'. This resulted in a beautiful original illustration of the smiling Earth surrounded by elements of the environment.
Re-using or re-appropriating objects is one of my favourite ways of approaching a canvas.
Fruit Scoop Ice Cream
CLIENT: Fruit Scoop
Wellington, New Zealand - 2022

Fruit scoop is a small, independently owned ice cream van with a unique flair and simple style. Having seen my work on the Jungle Bar Coffee cart, the owner of Fruit Scoop commissioned me to paint up her own small wagon.
Firebird Cafe
CLIENT: Firebird Cafe
Levin, New Zealand - 2021

Firebird is a small restaurant with a big voice out in the Horrowhenua region of New Zealand.
They opened with one simple goal - to provide an awesome dining & live music experience.
Everything at Firebird is hand made and so it stands to reason that the shop sign would be hand made also.
At 20 metres long this is by far the largest signwriting project I've ever embarked upon!

Above is the original sketch for the mural design which I pitched to the owners of Retro Grove.
You can see from the sketch that my final hand painted details are incredibly accurate to the original idea.
When it comes to implementation I always have more space to play with and therefore the details get much more intricate also.
